Maintaining natural waters at as higher quality level as possible remains a challenge yet mainly due to limited capacities in equipment infrastructure and man power. Rivers in Kosovo include most of surface water bodies along with artificial lakes. The Kosovo river water hydrography is divided into four river basins: Drini i Bardhë, Ibri, Morava e Bincës, and Lepenci.
